Paris Peace Conference 2017: The Statement

ISRAEL – “PALESTINE”: The peace conference held in Paris yesterday, the 15th January 2017 , has resulted in a joint statement, which can be downloaded here. According to the Israeli newspaper Haaretz the purpose was “to reaffirm their support for a just, lasting and comprehensive resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict”. The newspaper also gives a summary of the statement.

CNN writes: “The Mideast peace conference in Paris closed Sunday, calling for Israel and the Palestinians to embrace a two-state solution as the only route to peace, despite Israel’s Prime Minister branding the conference ‘useless.’ ” Read more here.

Kehila News, a Messianic news-site based in Israel writes about the Conference with the following sort of summary: “The majority of participants signed a declaration agreeing to enforce the two-state solution. A notable abstention was that of the UK, but the delegates who endorsed the result of the peace summit have agreed to meet again later in 2017 to show their support for the move and to take note of the progress of the freshly resurrected concept of the almost buried two-state solution.” The article’s headline is “Much ado about nothing?” For the full story – read here.
