CHRISTIAN APPEALS TO THE USA: DON’T STRIKE SYRIA!
POLITICS – SYRIA: The Pope Francis sent a message to the US president Obama during the G20 Meeting in St. Petersburg, Russia, saying that there isn’t much point in striking against Syria. In stead the civil war should be ended by talks in peace. Read more here.
A Syrian Christian woman, who has fled from Syria to the USA, met Sen. John McCain recently and here she appeals to him, saying that the USA mustn’t strike against Syria, but ought to force the two powers behind the civil war, i.e. Iran and Saudi Arabia, to stop fighting. This is something that the USA is capable of achieving if tried, she claims. Sen. McCain, who is for a strike, seems to be short of arguments against this appeal.
